In 2024, I will be reading through the Vulgate. Here on the Substack I will host a short podcast reflecting on the readings for each week. Feel free to follow along!
I actually started on this last year and have read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and Romans 1-8. I plan to finish reading the NT by early 2024, and I may read-along with the group if I can make it align. It's a great idea, and I've enjoyed my own Vulgate reading so far.

Junius, what passages or books would you recommend for beginners? They are using Henle Latin. I have two in Henle 1 and one in Henle 4.
Is the FB connection essential?
It is not: I know not everyone uses social media. One could also use the comments over here for some discussion!
Thanks for the quick reply.
Which version of the Vulgate will be in use?
I will be working from this version, by Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft: https://www.amazon.com/Biblia-Sacra-Vulgata-Vulgate-Bible/dp/1598561782/
It has full critical apparatus and present the Psalms in both the Septuagint and Hebrew versions.
Very excited for this!
